For the next steps in our sustainability process, we are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Management (SCM) Sustainability Engineer. Within the ABB E-mobility Sustainability group, you will drive the next steps in Life Cycle Assessments and Sustainability at ABB E-mobility.     Your responsibilities

    • The primary function of the SCM Sustainability Engineer is to ensure the smooth execution of LCA studies by gathering reliable environmental data from all the suppliers of ABB E-mobility.
    • Moreover, the SCM Sustainability Engineer is responsible for:
    • Supporting the LCA Project Coordinator with internal inventory data collection and analysis.
    • Supporting execution of life cycle analysis studies (cradle-to-gate/cradle-to-grave) of ABB E-mobility products.
    • Supporting the LCA Project Coordinator with third-party verification process (critical reviews) of LCAs and EPDs.
    • Engaging with our suppliers to reduce emissions from their own processes.
    • Collaborating with R&D and our suppliers to introduce more recycled materials into our products.
    • Ensuring that suppliers implement ESG sustainable practices (responsible sourcing, mfg., etc.) across our value chain.
    • Looking closely, from a sustainability perspective, at domestic and global supply chains to assess risks, environmental performance, human impacts (human rights), waste, and operational efficiency.
    • Ensuring that our suppliers adhere to the latest sustainability legislation and standards.
    • Conducting trainings on sustainability in the supply chain for internal and external stakeholders.

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Energy Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Logistics & Supply Chain management, Energy or Environmental Engineering, or equivalent is desirable.
    • At least 1 year of experience in Supply Chain Management and data collection.
    • At least 1 year of experience on projects related to Sustainability.
    • Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment and Circularity is an advantage.
    • Ability to switch quickly between different topics, understand complex ecosystems and navigate cross-functional collaboration landscapes.
    • Proficient in Italian & English.
    • Attention to detail while keeping the overall picture in mind, and excellent interpersonal skills as well as organisational capabilities.
    • Affinity for electric mobility.
    • Willingness to travel within Europe when required.
    • Well-versed in MS-Office, particularly in MS Excel.
    • Knowledge of SAP, Data analytics software such as Power BI or equivalent is a plus.
