As a Scrum Master, you’ll support the product development of our Terra™ fast charging equipment as key team member of our EV Charging Infrastructure Product Group by facilitating work of multiple development and test teams ensuring that their development goals are met in the most optimal way.     Director, R&D/Technology

    Your responsibilities

    • Facilitate several scrum teams of developers and testers
    • Using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions
    • Train, mentor, and provide support to scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices
    • Remove obstacles impeding teams’ optimal performance – resources, communication, human interactions, tools, quality of user stories, etc.
    • Implement improvements that make the scrum teams permanently more efficient
    • Determine and manage tasks, issues, risks, and action items
    • Track project processes, deliverables, and financials
    • Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders
    • Schedule and facilitate scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes.
    • Collaborate closely with development and test engineers as product managers both locally and globally

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems & Control, or related field is required with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master within a software development organization
    • Master’s degree, and/or direct industry knowledge of electric vehicle charging, a plus
    • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and perform well in a dynamic environment with frequently changing priorities
    • Ability to work effectively under tight time pressure
    • Experience with Azure DevOps a plus
    • Strong analytical skills required, with an inquisitive engineering problem solving mindset
    • English language speaking, reading and writing proficiency is required
    • Should be very comfortable working in a highly collaborative, global team environment, within an R&D Test Lab facility
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally required (approximately 10-20%)
    • Salary Range for the position: 100K to 125K
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
    • International Relocation is not available for this position
