    (Senior) Control Software Engineer for Traction Applications (80-100%)

    As a (Senior) Project Engineer, you will be the control design authority for traction converter and energy storage system projects for locomotives, commuter trains, trams, metros, busses and mining trucks worldwide, making technical recommendations and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service. In this role, you will ensure successful converter control software delivery of multiple projects on time, within budget, and in line with specifications and with quality and safety guidelines.

    Your responsibilities

    • You are responsible for specification, implementation and documentation of the software on system level for our drives product families
    • We count on your know-how within the field of software design using MATLAB / Simulink and Codesys
    • You test the software on our real time simulator as well as in the field
    • In addition to the implementation of the software, you support directly our clients remote and on site
    • When implementing software functions you can look over the edge to create additional value for all projects
    • You take over the lead of the control team of larger development projects and coordinate the with different stake holders

    Your background

    • You hold a degree in electrical engineering, and you have experience in control of processes and in software design (including MATLAB / Simulink / Codesys)
    • Furthermore, you have a broad knowledge about converter control and power electronics
    • You also bring know-how of traction applications
    • You speak fluently English; German is a highly appreciated
    • Finally, you convince us with your readiness to commission our products worldwide – this will be approximately 10% of your working time.
