    Position summary

    u will be a member of the global Digital, Data, Cyber & Data Privacy center of expertise in the Legal and Integrity function. The work model for the role is: hybrid. This role a global scope is part of the global Center of Expertise for Digital, Data, Cyber & Data Privacy in the Legal & Integrity Function and is based in Krakow. You will be mainly accountable to: • Develop and implement legal best practices and guidance for AI and other emerging technologies, driving compliance and risk management while supporting innovation • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement AI governance policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company ethical values in the development and use of AI and other emerging technologies • Offer expert legal advice on AI technologies in all relevant areas of the law, to support the creation of business value. • Create and maintain standard agreements and templates for procuring and providing AI technologies, ensuring an appropriate contracting basis. • Support the review and negotiation of AI-related contracts, aiming for terms that align with company interests. • Keep abreast of global regulatory, litigation and other legal developments in AI, informing strategy and operational practices to stay ahead of the curve. • Support the development of ABB's advocacy positions on AI policy matters, representing the company's interests on a global stage. • Lead educational initiatives on legal matters related to AI, updating training materials and conducting sessions to empower the workforce.
    Qualifications for the role

    • You are a qualified attorney and highly skilled in navigating international IT and IP legal practices, with a keen interest in AI, data and cybersecurity.
    • You can demonstrate 6-9 years post-qualification experience in drafting and negotiating IT-related agreements.
    • You possess experience in adopting AI governance and are adept in multijurisdictional regulatory monitoring.
    • You are passionate about developing legal strategies and innovative around stakeholder management and leadership.
    • You have a strong business acumen and the ability to collaboratively with other stakeholders find balanced solutions enabling innovation in a responsible way.
    • You are curious about new technologies and related legal concepts, regulatory developments and ethical challenges.
    • You are at ease communicating in English, capable of conveying complex matters succinctly to senior business leaders.
