You will be working as Senior Designer at global and will be part of Motion Business Area for Traction Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Engineering manager and will be responsible to Create, modify, and analyze the design of equipment, systems, or installations, including specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction on assignments of medium to high complexity using established solutions

Your responsibilities

• Hardware designing and development of converters for railways applications, like Traction converter, auxiliary convertor, and battery chargers
• Conceptualize new designing and translating concept into formal electronic design drawings
• Reviewing drawing/specifications and communicate requirements to vendors/ customers
• Understanding and update all product Schematics and other design documentation and providing input and recommend changes to new and existing product designs
• Having knowledgeable and proficient in all design calculation and simulations
• Performing FFA analysis on Power and control designs and support to PLCM and continually recommends improvements in all areas related to standards, products, and drawings
• Realizing bill of material, Schematics, and all kind of design documents and respecting and/or allocating requirements and electrical
• Control interfaces to sub-systems/equipment’s (in terms of Converter and System /Loco level)
• Component selection, qualification and validation and converter level validation, qualification, type test and performance measure support

Your background

• Bachelor's / Master’s degree in electrical/Electronics/Power Electronics engineering
• Required 5-8 years of related work experience
• Good to have experience in power electronics, traction convertor, Auxiliary convertor, railways applications
• Power Engineering preferably applied to Railway products with 4-5 years of experience
• Proficiency design software including MATLAB and E3 schematic etc
• Should be able to perform and analyze results from simulations and Hand calculations
