Senior Domain Engineer

This is a Senior Domain Engineer role, reporting to R&D Manager and will be a part of Motion - Drive Products division based in Bangalore. You will be working with the teams which are developing and validating shippable products for the India and global markets. You will also be a part of global R&D community spread across the ABB MODP division.

Your responsibilities

• You as a development Engineer will be responsible for understanding the requirements, design and development of Libraries.
• Updating unit and system test cases and responsible for system test, regression and release acceptance test execution
• Performing a variety of complex technology/engineering assignments, which typically require the use of advanced and innovative techniques.
• Serving as a subject matter expert to the project, providing guidance to colleagues and more junior team members, acting as a mentor and sharing lessons learned.
• Representing own group/team in engineering and research forums, both internal and external to ABB.

Your background

• Bachelor’s / master’s degree in Electrical / Instrumentation, Electronics engineering, or related field.
• Should have 5-8 years of experience.
• Advanced Knowledge of PLC IEC 61131-3 (Structured Text is preferred). knowledge of C is favorable
• basic Knowledge of Drives, HMI. Motion Control knowledge is favorable
• Machine commissioning experience is favorable
• Basic Knowledge of Black and white Box testing
• Very strong with test case/test scenario development and process for ensuring complete test coverage
