    ABB Motors and Drives supplies the complete range of drives, motors, generators and mechanical power transmission products for all industries and applications. With our technical know-how and a keen sense of our customers' needs, we are their strong partner for the operation of automated industrial systems In our Local Sales Unit for Motors and Drives 40 employees* are working closely together. In our Local Sales & Service Unit we communicate openly and directly and appreciate a lively exchange. We proactively support further training and the team spirit is promoted by regular joint activities. To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a dedicated Service Engineer Frequency Converter. In this role, you will be a reliable partner carrying out service assignments throughout Switzerland, but primarily in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, and acting as a technical contact between our customers and ABB. You will work closely with customers and other ABB teams, acting as a technical point of contact while providing high quality and compelling customer service. You will be trained directly by our service engineer working in this region and will benefit from years of experience. Join us - our customers are counting on you! The position requires readiness for on-call duty and includes a lot of travel in the French part of Switzerland. Our two locations in Morges (VD) and Baden (AG) can be used as an office opportunity, in addition to home office.     Service Operations Manager

    Your responsibilities

    • Provide and deliver on-site or remote technical services related to malfunctions, equipment installation and commissioning, and routine maintenance, including identifying technical issues and analyzing them
    • Support and advise our customers on the best service solutions in alignment with our standard processes, procedures, and safety policies
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships - meaning you understand individual needs and provide expert support and solutions
    • Completely document work performed in our system and report back on a regular basis
    • Identify opportunities to develop new service applications, equipment and methods
    • Support our internal team in the coordination and planning of all service orders - including the provision of the necessary resources, spare parts and logistics
    • The position requires a high level of local travel for on-site services at customer locations

    Your background

    • Technical education, supplemented with a higher degree (TS/HF/FH) in engineering or technology
    • More than three years of professional experience in an electrical discipline, preferably in the field of drive technology
    • Excellent knowledge of service and commissioning of technical systems
    • High level of self-motivation as well as an independent and solution-oriented approach to work
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle customer issues professionally and proactively
    • Ability to travel within Switzerland, including a valid driver's license (category B)
    • Confident French and English - German language skills are a plus
