We are looking for a Senior General Accountant to strengthen our Finance team. You will be a member of our Finance & Accounting Operations organization and be part of our Finance Front Office team located in Baden. You will support overall financial statement preparation and reporting by executing accurate and timely completion of accounting activities in compliance with internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Accounting: Performs general accounting activities, including Pension and Lease Accounting
• Analysis: Executes accounting analysis and reports as assigned
• Reporting: Ensures the production of reports, statement of accounts, reconciliations, statements of sourcing, and application of funds
• Optimization: Assists in developing and implementing processes and procedures, and continuously optimizes to gain efficiency and drive productivity gains
• Investigation: Conducts investigations and reconciliations of accounts as necessary
• Financial Transactions: Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions
• Internal Controls: Participates in internal control testing and prepares relevant documentation
• Project Management: Drive global initiatives at the country level to harmonize and standardize processes and tools

Your background

• University degree in Economics/Finance (Bachelor or Master) or similar
• At least 5 years of working experience in GA Accounting; Reporting and/or running process improvement initiatives as Project Manager
• Hands-on experience on Lease Accounting and performing related controls
• Swiss GAAP and US GAAP knowledge is mandatory
• Experience in stakeholder management in a complex set-up in an international environment would be an asset
• Mindset to challenge the status-quo
• Experience in Head Quarter Accounting and in handling inter-company transactions as well as in Swiss VAT Reporting would be a plus
• Knowledge of SAP FI/CO and preferably knowledge of Hyperion and SAP BW
• Fluency in English and German
