You are admitted as a “European Patent Attorney” and “German Patent Attorney”. Are you looking for a new professional challenge? Then apply as an “IP Counsel (m/f/d) and strengthen our team at the Ratingen or Mannheim locations.
Your responsibilities
- Preparation and filing of domestic and international patent applications as well as supervision of examination procedures.
- Legal support for development projects (FTO analyzes, IP opportunities).
- Implementation of patent research as well as initiation, support and evaluation of external service providers.
- Supervision of the inventor remuneration process; Handling of employee invention issues, in particular calculation of remuneration.
- Support and advice for our development engineers in the preparation of invention disclosures.
- Monitoring the patent protection of competitors and prosecuting patent infringements; Analysis of property rights situations and trends in the technology environment.
- Preparation and support of objection / nullity proceedings and license negotiations.
- Driving actively the IP strategy of a business unit.
- Participation in the strategic alignment of your own property rights portfolio.
Your background
- Study of electrical engineering, physics or comparable.
- Min. 7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Admission as "European Patent Attorney" and "German Patent Attorney".
- Fluent in German and English, French desirable.
- Open-minded and communicative nature.
- Flexible work in interdisciplinary teams and bringing in your own ideas.
- Independent work and excellent advisory skills.
- Good language skills for the precise presentation of complex technical and legal issues.
