As a Senior Legal Counsel for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Beijing, Shanghai, China, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing policies, guidelines, template working documents such as privacy notice, questionnaires, statements, etc., and the contracts and the documents of business and function projects.

Your responsibilities
- Reporting to the General Counsel of ABB RA APAC Region/ABB China Country Corporate Counsel
- Supporting Robotics and Discrete Automation Business Area (“RA”) on legal and integrity issues
- Supporting all the business areas/divisions and functions regarding China cyber security related laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, data security, network security level protection, internet content provider, and other related subjects
- Leading the self-security assessment, cross border data transfer assessment with the government authorities, and the other compliance activities
- Updating the global and local stakeholders on the development of China cyber security laws and regulations as well as practice
- Supporting general legal and integrity practice at the country level and for the local RA organization
- Taking legal and integrity responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time
- Developing a good working relationship with local business divisions and local functions as well as within the legal and integrity organization of RA as well as the other business areas/divisions and center of expertise

- A Bachelor of Law from a reputable law school is required
- LLM or JD from US or other countries will be a plus
- Bar admission in China
- More than 8 years post qualification experience practicing corporate law either as an associate at a reputable law firm or in a major MNC
- Strong knowledge and experience in China cyber security law and at least 2 years’ experience in data privacy and cyber security
- Strong communication skills and capabilities to manage legal and compliance issues in multiple jurisdiction and diversified background
- Fluent in English and Chinese
