    Senior Power Electronics Engineer m/f/d (80-100%)

    In our center of competence for traction, we hold a leading position in the design and development of traction converters as well as power energy storage systems and the associated electronic components for locomotives, high-speed trains, streetcars, buses and much more. To strengthen our motivated team we are looking for a passionate electrical engineer with expertise in power electronics and ideally railroad technology.

    This position reports to

    Engineering Manager

    Your responsibilities

    • Electrical design of inverters and power energy storage for railroad and bus applications.
    • Specify components and define technical requirements in cooperation with suppliers
    • Specifying, performing and documenting a wide range of fuse tests
    • Cooperation and support of our production and series testing
    • Creating the technical documentation required for the project
    • Technical contact person for our customers, in order to question their requirements and to provide custom-fit solutions
    • Supporting our service and repair department in analyzing and finding solutions to errors
    • Supporting the technical sales team and helping to standardize and improve our product groups

    Your background

    • Electrical engineer with > 5 years of professional experience in the field of converter design.
    • Proven experience in the field of power electronics design and application, preferably in the areas of drive or railroad technology
    • Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
    • Independent, goal-oriented and structured way of working
    • Enjoy working in an international and interdisciplinary team
    • Able to work under pressure and still set the right priorities and deliver good results under time pressure
