Senior Project Engineer

You will be working as Senior Project Engineer and will be part of Process Automation business for Process Industries based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to global Engineering manager Metals and will be responsible for designing authority for an engineering discipline with medium complexity. Completing assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Focusing will be to develop new tools for efficient execution of Engineering workflow that would be rolled out globally
• Engineering Base (Ebase) would be a major tool that would be developed/adapted, hence familiarity with Ebase would be an edge which includes catalogues, stencils, macros etc. Developing will be continuous based on internal customer requirements
• Responsibility including Product Life Cycle Management and L3 support for PAPI specific solutions on Ebase platform for Global Customers
• You will get opportunity to interface with Engineering leaders from around the globe to discuss and freeze requirements based on which Development work would be carried out
• Ample opportunity to learn on the job about new concepts and technology- Digitalization

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation engineering.
• 5 to 7 years of extensive hands-on experience
• Advanced working knowledge in design of LV distribution and automation systems,
• design of process electrical panels
• Knowledge of Automation programming/ABB 800xA experience would be prerequisite
• Familiarity with process standards, IEC, ANSI, especially documentation standards.
• Engineering tool familiarity in Ebase/Eplan/E3 is preferred
• Preferably to have good understanding of the process control in one of the following processes areas: Metal, Cement, Mining, Pulp & Paper, Data Center, Food & Beverage
