Join us as Senior Sales Engineer for the Robotic & Discrete Automation Business Area where you will be developing new business and expanding OEM market share in the region mainly in Penang Region (Northern) Malaysia as well support other SEA countries on demand Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Philippines, except Singapore. The main products to support on are Mechatronics product (trak, servo, etc.), PLC, HMI, industrial PC, vision, etc. Reporting to Business Development Manager and the role will be focus on business development in Penang Malaysia.
Your responsibilities
- Growing sales of B&R's complete product range in region by working on new and existing sales opportunities
- Achieving sales budget at existing customers through exceptional sales support as well as through the introduction of new/existing products and services
- Promoting and selling new products and technical trainings and Develop sales strategy and identify strategic accounts within the region
- Planning and expanding customer base through working on ‘Target Customers ‘and cold calling, enquiry generation, marketing
- Understanding of customer requirements / market segment and the trends and identifying, defining, and developing the best technical solution for customer applications
- Holding in-depth technical presentations and discussions with the customers and negotiating, finalizing and co-ordination with customer and internal B&R team for smooth execution
- Follow-up for dispatches, purchase orders, payments, rental materials and organizing workflow and meetings to meet customer deadlines
- Participating in brand promotion through exhibition, seminars & product demos and record customer visit, and update CRM entries regularly and keeping track of after sales support and maintenance and get references from customer
Your background
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
- Incumbent is required to have 3-5 years progressive customer service or direct marketing experience preferably in electrical /automation industry
- Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills. Able to perform multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong attention to details, possessing a team working aptitude and interested in preventing errors and solving problems
- Must work well under pressure, be able to juggle many projects simultaneously, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must also have an excellent sense of priorities and exceptional phone and customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence both internally and externally
