    Senior Sales Manager

    You will be working as Senior Sales Manager and and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Global Sub-PG Technology Manager-Chemicals. You will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining (business area/division/product group) effective sales strategy in specified market scope (global/regional/local) in order to improve ABB market penetration and realize growth aspirations in the assigned scope. Set, plan and ensure execution of (business area/ division/ product group) sales strategy within the assigned scope (global/regional/local), to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems and/or services in a profitable way order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, sales productivity and customer satisfaction

    Your responsibilities

    • Ensuring and driving profitable growth for the countries in his region and achieving sales targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency
    • Operating as an interface from the front-end sales organization in the force field between local division and regions whereas a strong mutual cooperation is required to maximize the entire Business Line (BL) value chain
    • Creating, planning and implementing sales strategy, and strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with global sales strategy and managing potential conflicts with other sales activities
    • Developing and driving sales opportunities (both Solutions and Services) to meet budget expectations in his/her assigned countries/region
    • Achieving and exceeding quantitative and qualitative assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives
    • Supporting the development of strong relationships with key customers, building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers ensuring efficient marketing communications
    • Identifying customer needs and competitor offers through market analysis, ensuring efficient marketing actions and communications demonstrate the value proposition of the products, systems, service and packages
    • Taking ownership of the sales processes, and all relevant training and development plans, actions and programs

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
    • Minimum 8 years of sales experiences covering India, experiences in ASEAN and/or North Asia market would be preferred
    • Solid sales professional with demonstrated complex sales experiences across various territory. More than 5 years of experience in direct sales and sales management
    • Experience in business development, account management and cross-selling across systems, solutions, products and service categories
    • Knowledge in engaging customers in the field of lubricant blending, paint manufacturing, Resin and/or specialty chemical (adhesives etc.) production is preferred
    • Experience in solutions bundling (Modular Skids, engineered packages including Electrical, Instruments, Automation Systems) is preferred
    • Experience in managing sales pursuit with Direct End-user and EPCs
    • Experience in dealing with international project and with international EPC is preferred
