    From container vessels with a length of 400 meters carrying more than 20.000 containers or heavy cargo vessels capable of transporting windmill turbines or even complete oil rigs: Within the division Marine & Ports, the department in Dalfsen is providing monitoring and forecasting software solutions for performance and availability optimization of sea-going vessels, and is the leader in vessel motion prediction solutions. These are onboard solutions to give direct advise to the crew on the vessel and cloud solutions for reporting and data analysis. For the Research & Development department we are looking for a Senior Software Developer C# to help on both solutions. We are proud to be a team of unique, curious and passionate problem solvers. With daily standups, virtual coffees and working on features closely together we create a very informal atmosphere in our international team. You will be located in Dalfsen where you will work together with a small group of developers within an international, virtual scrum team with the flexibility for remote work as well as working at the ABB office location.

    Your responsibilities

    • As one of our C# developers you will develop new features and maintain the existing desktop and cloud products, writing automated tests and write documentation.
    • You will develop, share and enhance best practices for the full software development life cycle.
    • You will work in an international Scrum team of talented engineers in an open and informal environment.
    • You will coach and support development of less senior engineers in the team.
    • Together you will bring the product from idea to implementation.
    • You will work closely with our support team to help our customers in a good and efficient way.

    Your background

    • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent skill level.
    • You have at least five years of professional experience with C# projects and have experience in refactoring, new development and documentation reviews.
    • You have experience with working with Azure solutions.
    • You have experience in software architecture.
    • You have experience with working in a MS Windows environment.
    • You can work in multi-disciplinary, Agile teams.
    • You have good analytical and engineering skills.
    • You are a team player.
    • You have a good knowledge of the English language. Dutch is preferred.
    • Knowledge of Devops, Git and WPF is most certainly a big plus.
