Would you like to be at the front of supporting and servicing Operational Excellence software like the pulp and paper Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Solutions to our Global Customers? Operation excellence softwares, like different MES and MOM, are a key cornerstone of industrial digitalization and our business and investments are rapidly growing in this area. We’re expanding our digital business significantly and have created a new function to support the growth and are looking for several Senior Software Service Engineers for customer services at ABB Oy, Process Industries division in Helsinki. Opex Senior Software Service Engineer’s role includes analyzing and modifying existing software as well as designing, implementing, and testing customer specific enhancements that meet customer needs. Your responsibilities

• Supporting ABB MES install base in a global team
• Understanding customer questions and requirements related to ABB MES
• Creating solution specifications based on Customer requirements
• Configuring the ABB MES applications according to the specifications
• Customer specific software development related to ABB MES
• Participation to small ABB MES add-on projects

Your background

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree from Information Sciences, Process Engineering or applicable degree from another relevant field
• Familiar with Python, JavaScript, and other programming languages
• Knowledge of PL/SQL and relational databases (for example Oracle)
• Paper, metals, cement production and related MES/MOM/OMS software knowledge is a must
• Over 10 years software engineering experience on relevant solutions
• Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English
