As Medior/Senior System Architect, you play an important role in supporting the R&D development teams, providing experience and expertise in system development, use of supporting tools, processes and methods. You will be part of the R&D destination team, the destination product line is responsible for chargers from 3 KW up to 60 KW including bidirectional AC - DC. Your team members are based globally (a part of the team is based in Delft), bringing a diverse set of cultures and skills. The team has a drive for collaboration, focus, responsibility and transparency. Do you get energy from delivering a product technically perfect?

Your responsibilities

• Within ABB E-Mobility, you organize the meeting to discuss the overall architecture End-to-End with the architecture team which are based in different continents to develop a wall box.
• You are reviewing the PRS and translating this with the architecture team in an architecture design.
• You are discussing the features and hardware design of a new product with production, service and quality.
• You are an End-to-End Architect and ensure that the end product is technically correct and in line with the PRS.
• In your daily work, you work with different teams and you will be in frequent contact with the project leader.

Your background

• Bachelors or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience (Consumer Products).
• 7+ years of experience in R&D, knowledge of Consumer Electronics is a plus..
• Experience with the following aspects is beneficial: Back end, Protocols, cloud environments, local communication, apps, customer journey e.g.
• A collaborative, pro-active, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Inquisitive, flexible and creative.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment; manage multiple demands on your time, in cross-functional, virtual and international teams.
• Willingness to travel.
• Good communication skills (written & verbal) in English.
