    ABB Motors and Drives supplies the complete range of drives, motors, generators and mechanical power transmission products for all industries and applications. With our technical know-how and a keen sense of our customers' needs, we are their strong partner for the operation of automated industrial systems. In our Local Sales Unit for Motors and Drives 40 employees* are working closely together. In our Local Sales & Service Unit we communicate openly and directly and appreciate a lively exchange. We proactively support further training and the team spirit is promoted through regular joint activities. To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a dedicated engineer who will not only pull all the strings in service in a combined position as Service Coordinator (50%) and Service Technician Frequency Converter (50%), but also be the first point of contact for customers and internal contacts (teammates, suppliers, partners). In a team of two, you will coordinate with your teammate the office and field activities of the field service team. The position requires readiness for on-call duty and includes as a service technician travel activities throughout Switzerland. This position can be performed either at the location Baden (AG) or Morges (VD) and can be combined with home office.     Your responsibilities

    • Coordinate and plan all incoming service orders - including the provision of the required resources, spare parts and logistics on site.
    • Advising customers on various service solutions and ensuring a smooth ordering process - from quotation to invoicing
    • Provide professional technical support for the installation and commissioning of our products, routine maintenance and fault analysis - both remotely and at the customer's site
    • Complete documentation of the work performed in our system and regular reporting
    • Build long-term customer relationships through customized service solutions that are tailored to the customer's needs
    • Work closely with other ABB international teams and supplier units to bundle activities and sustainably increase service levels
    • Identify new business and optimization opportunities for our products, services and processes, with the aim of using them to improve operations and customer service

    Your background

    • Successful degree (TS/HF/FH) in engineering or technology - ideally supplemented by commercial training
    • Well-founded relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the field of drive technology
    • Very familiar with the service and commissioning of technical systems
    • Strong communicator with a committed personality who works independently and is solution-oriented
    • Fluent in German and English - knowledge of French is a plus
