    Service Engineer (80 – 100%)

    Within the UPS Service Centre of Excellence, you will be responsible to actively support ABB customers and service organization based on the knowledge of all UPS products and product lines. You will provide remotely technical hardware support and expertise on a daily basis; if required travel to customer site to resolve technical matters and are able to communicate to customer about the field events with professional expertise and full knowledge of the facts; you follow UPS service processes based using company tools. The position involves approximately 30 of days of domestic and/or international travel, as you will be providing hands-on assistance at customer sites.

    Your responsibilities

    • Provide hardware support inside the Diagnostic Centre via phone/Email and CMR ticketing system.
    • Occasional travelling to direct customers and ABB poles to support complex installation, audit service operations and grow the competencies of local teams.
    • Support customer through the 24x7 rotation Diagnostic Centre tasks.
    • Occasionally provide trainings on UPS products for customers & UPS service engineers.
    • Work closely to R&D team to ensure product issues are properly addressed and receive from R&D adequate training on the different UPS product lines. Interact with other departments like quality and R&D to address statistically main product issues and the continuous product improvement.

    Your background

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic engineering or higher study degree with/or at least 5 years of technical aftersales support experience
    • Familiarity with UPS products is a plus.
    • Availability to travel internationally.
    • Ability to write technical documents, reports, and procedures for field support.
    • Good familiarity with MS Office package.
    • A successful candidate must be organized and efficient, with high level of technical proficiency and excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Good to Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian, min B2, ideally C1 or C2 (any other European language would be an advantage)
