    You will be working as Service Engineer, will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for Measurement & Analytics division based in Muscat, Oman. In this role you will be responsible to ensure complete customer satisfaction resulting in service business growth, undertake full responsibility of service requirements at client sites for commissioning, AMC, emergency maintenance, telephonic support and arrange for expert service team as and when required, familiarize with full-service portfolio, maintain cordial relationship with customers and be an enabler to generate sales enquiries and be ready to travel within the region and globally if required for service needs and undertake training assignments for customer and channel partners as needed

    Your responsibilities

    • Representing ABB as service engineer for analytical products, planning and ensuring all service needs of customer in the country are met in timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely support, engaging and leading customer FAT, Pre-FAT, SAT and other site activities
    • Leading all activities related to service portfolio like commissioning, emergency and shutdown services, AMC, Training, documentation, coordinating with factory and subcontractors as required for any support and supporting sales team by suggesting various service offerings we can do
    • Supporting in offer preparation as required, supporting regional and global LSUs as required for service requirements, providing training to customers and channel partners on need basis, constantly looking out for service opportunities and inform sales
    • Handling customer site independently for service requirements like commissioning, AMC, shutdown and emergency maintenance, telephonic support and training, keeping proper records for the activities done and ensuring service billing on regular basis
    • Planning and scheduling of activities to ensure maximum output within less time, planning for self-training well in advance for various products and solutions offered, seeking factory and SIU support as and when required to complete the activities
    • Engaging with factory / SIU from engineering stage and be present for Pre-FAT, FAT, SAT, and other activities and undertaking training for customers and partners as required
    • Having working knowledge of various analyzer software, full knowledge of various regulations to ensure adherence, service knowledge of third part analyzers for basic troubleshooting, having thorough knowledge of analyzer shelters and cabinets
    • Possessing adequate knowledge to commission, troubleshoot and service the analyzer systems, excellent process knowledge and site requirements is must, ability to communicate and work with multinational teams based globally
    • Thorough knowledge of service requirements for Continuous Gas Analyzer and Gas Chromatograph and knowledge of Instrumentation products will be added advantage

    Your background

    • Degree / Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics / Petroleum Engineering
    • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Analytical service preferred
    • Good knowledge & understanding of ABB Measurement & Analytics Product portfolio.
    • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
    • Ability to work with multinational and multi-cultural team based globally
