In this role, you will be responsible for driving service sales for ABB's Service product portfolio, focusing on the installed base penetration in the designated area(s). You will collaborate with the Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager to generate service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within the region Southern Germany, while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

Your responsibilities

  • Implement the Service sales strategy in collaboration with the Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager.
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities for Service products and solutions, focusing on the existing installed base and new markets.
  • Promote upgrades, retrofits, and value-add solutions to benefit customers and ABB.
  • Build and nurture long-term customer relationships by understanding their requirements and technical service needs.
  • Utilize market trend information to generate Service sales leads and explore potential new service portfolios.
  • Leverage One ABB approach to maximize sales opportunities by collaborating with colleagues from other units.
  • Plan and execute weekly sales visits, maintain CRM reports, and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Present ABB's Service offerings to customers based on their needs and coordinate with local Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager.
  • Actively participate in marketing activities such as campaigns, trade fairs, and customer meetings to promote ABB's service products and solutions.

Your background

  • Technical or commercial vocational training
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in technical or commercial roles
  • Basic understanding of technical concepts and affinity for sales
  • Sound knowledge of machinery and robotics is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and SAP is a plus
  • Collaborative and solution-focused approach
  • Customer-focused and action-oriented, with a systematic and structured approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively
  • High willingness to travel (approximately 70% of the time)
  • Proficiency in German (fluent) and basic knowledge of English
