    As a Transit Service Sales Specialist, you will be accountable for driving sales of our portfolio of services to ABB Transit customers, specifically as it applies to electric buses & Transit charging infrastructure in support of our EV (Electric Vehicle) Chargers. You'll advise the local service teams and our clients about the options of various service support concepts and offerings, with the primary goal of increasing revenue, and providing value-added customer and technical service support to our customer base.

    Your responsibilities

    • Supporting Sales team with pricing, negotiations, administering and presenting to Customers our service agreement contracts regarding maintenance, monitoring, spare parts, and service level agreements
    • Developing Service offerings based on XaaS models and recurring revenue in collaboration with the Global Service Sales team
    • Researching market/customer trends and competitor actions to support the Global Service Sales team in the development of new service offerings and recommending optimal solutions to meet customer needs
    • Leading and managing the tender process for regional cross-border projects within SAP & ABB Quote Tool
    • Attending Customer meetings with Sales colleagues for large and/or cross-border projects to proactively promote the Service offerings
    • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive database of utility industry decision-makers related to EV policy, adoption, and EV Charging Infrastructure implementation
    • Understanding the changing regulatory policies affecting EV infrastructure and becoming the Internal and external subject matter expert, to help drive strategy
    • Supporting RFI (Request for information) and RFP (Request for proposal) technical specification review and inputs and responses
    • Providing support and direction for Third Party ABB EMO Representatives for opportunity and sales growth in their respective territories
    • Providing project documentation including supporting ABB’s Service Level Agreements (SLA) with various offerings to match customer expectations
    • Other responsibilities and projects assigned as needed
    • Travel up to 50% to represent ABB at bus and fleet industry events and demonstrate expertise through speaking opportunities

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s Degree required with 3 or more years of direct sales, account management, or field engineering experience, preferably in a service environment; In lieu of a degree, equivalent direct experience of 5 years in service offering sales, will be considered
    • Must have ability to drive results through solution oriented thinking leveraging commercial insights in alignment with client’s needs
    • Enthusiastic, team player with strong collaborative and influencing skills
    • Experience or knowledge of remote services operations with a passion for technology and digital solutions preferred
    • Fluency in English language required, with excellent communication skills; Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese highly desirable
    • Ability to work and excel in a high demand, customer centric, outcomes based environment required
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
