    Service Technician - Marine & Ports, Busan (1 year Temporary)

    As a Service Technician for Process Automation Business Area in Busan South Korea, you will execute commissioning and service work with low complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. You will be in close cooperation with customers and other ABB teams, acting as the technical point while delivering quality and satisfying customer service.

    Operations Manager

    Your responsibilities

    • Providing remote or on-site technical support for customers
    • Exceeding customer expectations by appreciating and anticipating current and potential needs
    • Troubleshooting potential equipment failures and proactively taking measures to offset/prevent and inform internal partners
    • Coordinating logistics of resources and spare parts for all site Service jobs
    • Suggesting product and process improvements within the business to enhance operations and customer service

    Your background

    • Associate degree in electrical engineering or related
    • Entry level or less than 2 years’ experience level in new building commissioning, working as service/commissioning engineer with drive or automation products or system
    • Ability to travel to domestic new building shipyard and other customer sites
    • Experience within electrical systems onboard ships will be an advantage but not an absolute requirement
    • If you have experience as a ship or rig electrician, or experience from shipyards, understanding and interest in marine installations that would be an advantage
    • The ability to understand and find practical solutions to problems and perform tasks under pressure
    • Intermediate level in both written and verbal English
    • Initiative and cooperative, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
