    Services Engineer

    Join us as Service Engineer for ABB’s Measurement & Analytic Division where you will be executing service and maintenance work on a range of instrumentation products and systems. We’re seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual who prides themselves on delivering quality customer service, and has the nous to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB. Reporting to New Zealand National Sales Manager and New Zealand Services Supervisor this position will be based in Mt Wellington, Auckland with out-of-town travel required.

    Your responsibilities

    • Delivering outstanding and professional service e.g., installation and commissioning, maintenance and repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades, and retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements
    • Troubleshooting equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
    • Proactively identifying and developing potential sales and business opportunities based on knowledge of customers and collaboration across ABB
    • Coordinating the control/preparation of all materials, equipment, documentation needed for site activities ad organizing them in accordance with contractual and supplemental documentation
    • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business

    Your background

    • Trade or Diploma in Instrumentation / Electro Technology field with 5 years professional experience in Service or Product / System unit
    • Unrestricted electrical license preferred, and knowledge of instrumentation service requirements is an advantageous
    • Knowledge of Gas Analytics technologies and its service requirements (e.g., Chromatographs)
    • Ability to work in high pressure and time constrained situations
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and thinking and acting systemically, and able to prioritize tasks
    • Clear communication skills and ability to develop positive relationships with customers and colleagues
    • Strong capabilities with utilizing MS Office
