    Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

    This position involves heading a team in the NEMA Motors within Motion Business in Flowery Branch, Georgia, ensuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures, and quality and safety standards and policies. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, prioritizing, scheduling and delegating work assignments. Directly supervising the organizational unit receiving/stockroom/shipping personnel to ensure the timely and cost effective completion of all work and projects assigned to the department.

    Your responsibilities

    • Recommend, develop, and implement improvements to current or new systems and procedures.
    • Strong ability to provide directions and advise or suggest courses of action to department personnel, other supervisors and managers.
    • Responsible for the control, tracking, accuracy, and locations of all inventory and the timely corrections to any records thereof.
    • Responsible for timely shipments of product to customers and others.
    • Ensure the completions of all required paperwork, records and scheduling of trucks.
    • Responsible for providing material to the manufacturing departments from the storage areas and improving or adjusting these procedures as flow changes, product mix changes, plant layout changes etc.
    • Coordinate with purchasing, material control, and production to ensure the timely scheduling and movement of materials.
    • Administer and ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures.

    Your background

    • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 0-2 years OR Associate's Degree with minimum 2 years OR High School Diploma/GED with minimum 4 years experience.
    • Preferred Experience Includes:
    • Knowledge of the fundamentals of production, inventory control, planning system, parts master/product structures, shop floor control system, stock location system, sales order processing system, shipping system, Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
    • Knowledge of motors, motor terminology, motor manufacturing process and the functions of the various support disciplines essential to achieving the timely production as evidenced by the ability to respond to various material related or shipping related problems.
    • Knowledge of shipping documentation requirements, such as NAFFTA, CSA (Cost Structure Analysis), other export documentation as well as truck line schedules, preferences and requirements.
    • Knowledge of hazardous materials policies and laws as evidenced by training with Lion Technologies or equivalent.
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
