You will be working as Simulations and Test Automation Engineer and will be part of Motion Business Area for System Drives Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Department Lead and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product and/or solution development as well as associated IP by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. Using unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks. Acting as the first line contact in R&D/SW development/Product engineering for the specific product related issues and maintenance

Your responsibilities

• Participating in refinement meetings to understand the VFD Functiona and system testing requirements and performing in customer-focused test automation development activities on drive's firmware or application layer
• Performing test requirement analysis, manual testing, test automation code development in C# activities in line with the quality management system and maintaining the test defect logs captured during the testing and testing automation development of the assigned product
• Supporting the product owner in coordinating to provide and receive the technical inputs for the project and resolving the technical issues with the global architecture and development teams. Supporting project manager/ owner in the estimation of man hours required for the execution of the project deliverables
• Creating and executing the release test descriptions and test plans for the scope of project being executed. If needed also involved in function and integration testing based on the impact analysis conducted , in consultation with the product manager/ owner arrive at a solution for the identified defects
• Maintaining the test defect logs captured during the release testing of the assigned product and resolving customer specific issues/complaints received for assigned products as per the agreement with the L3 and L4 technical support teams.
• Visiting the customers whenever required for various support reasons, generate new ideas, participate in seminars and technical conferences

Your background

• ME/ Mtech or B.E / B-Tech - Electrical, Power electronics, Industrail Drives
• Minimum 3 -6 years experience in working with Industrial Drives / VFDs (drives)
• Having good knowledge on drives testing, power electronics, drives applications, drives control loops, drives configurations and drives system topologies
• Having Proficiency in the Test Automation using C++/ C# / Python / Robo Framework with minimum 2 years of working experience
• Understanding configuration management, code repositiory, requirements management, code management, ci/cd and different testing phases including release testing, test automation strategy and process
• Good Understanding SCRUM way of working
