    We are looking for a Software Developer at ABB Large Motors and Generators Division Helsinki, in Advanced Calculation team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and managing software related to motors and generators applications. Applications are developed on multiple platforms, frontend, backend or windows. You also will support various internal stakeholders on using the applications and co-operate with the other developers in the team. In this position you would work in Helsinki.     Your responsibilities

    • Software development on Frontend SW Design, Backend SW Design or Windows applications
    • Co-operating with the other team members to build complete applications
    • Participation to normal support operations together with the team
    • User Interfaces based on the backlog defined by the product owner
    • Managing and publishing applications based on the backlog defined by the product owner
    • Specifying and implementing test automation for the UI and other application parts
    • Participating in planning of the interfaces between backend and API gateway
    • Developing and maintaining the user documentation for selected applications

    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree (Master preferred) or just graduating e.g. in information technologies specializing in program development, or related discipline
    • Some experience or studies from one of the areas: 1. Frontend development 2. Backend development 3. Windows application development
    • Preferrable knowledge in some basic programming language like C, Pascal, Fortran, and preferrable knowledge of databases and SQL
    • Preferrable knowledge in basic physics related to electrical machines like power, voltage etc.
    • Capable to work and communicate in the multicultural team, fluent English skills is mandatory, Finnish is an advantage
    • Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
    • Creative, energetic, self-motivated, flexible team player with an ability to work independently
