This is a Software Lead -Metals Digital role, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible for developing and delivering the software solution for Industry 4.0 solutions to process industry customers. Your responsibility will be to ensure the project deliverables are met in terms of software quality, platform, performance & budget, while working with a team of software developers.
Your responsibilities
- Working independently using solid competency in technologies, tools, and methods to solve critical
- Coordinating with relevant functions for resolution of technical issues in own area of expertise
- Determining offered solutions and product versions, including extent of standard and non-standard solution scope to meet low to high complexity customer requirements
- Supporting technical reviews and participate in core technical meetings
- Coordinating technical Support to lead level 2/3 case management for resolution of technical issues
- Technical leadership and knowledge sharing
- Building network internally and externally for exchange of information, best practices and lessons learned
- Providing support and technical advice to colleagues in specific areas of expertise
- Actively supports technical resources in specific area of expertise
- Following available quality standards, processes, tools, and techniques
- Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements
- Contributing towards continuous improvements of processes and tools for engineering efficiency
- Creating and executes strategies for risk and opportunity management in one’s area of responsibility Proposing and initiating actions to mitigate and control risks
Your background
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering with 6 to 10 years of extensive hands-on experience in C# on .NET 4.0 or later, Rest APIs, MS SQL Server - expert level
- 3+ years of implementation experience of lead software or digital solution implementation in manufacturing sector preferably in Metals industry
- Strong in Object Oriented Analysis, Design Methodologies & UML
- Must be strong in implementing and debugging multi-threaded, multi-process applications
- Maintenance of the existing products as per the life cycle management
- Using the development tools, project management and other applications and tools in product development using DevOps like Git
- Code reviews, unit testing and functional testing
- Understanding requirement and writing technical documents, attending to technical review
- Experience of working with Asp.Net with MVC architecture would be an added advantage
- Working experience of Agile Methodologies is desirable
- Agile Process: Familiar with Agile Development Processes or similar
