    Solution Engineering Manager

    Join us as Solution Engineering Manager for the Process Automation Business Area where you will be managing a team of designers/engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering solutions to customers.Formulating plan, allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. Reporting to Regional Engineering Manager where you will be driving engineering standardization, identification and implementation of adaptive leavers in each project and establish stronger collaboration with global execution center (OPCs) for continuous cost optimization and quality improvements besides you will be responsible for successful engineering delivery of green field and brownfield solution projects in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines ,Vietnam, Bangladesh and Brunei. This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia, Jakarta-Indonesia, Singapore.

    Your responsibilities

    • Driving team performance to ensure that deliverables are met on time, as per the set contract, safety, and quality requirements
    • Providing engineering support during the bid phase, ensures that the resources required to deliver the technical solutions are correctly accounted
    • Overseeing contractual work within own area of responsibility and conducts regular progress reviews, identifies, and manages contractual risks
    • Ensuring correct assignments of tasks within the engineering team, defines relevant performance metrics
    • Collaborating with the supply chain function to ensure that correct suppliers services and equipment are available to support the engineering execution
    • Developing and drives continuous improvement activities to improve processes, policies, procedures, and effectiveness within one’s area of responsibility
    • Participating in defining the annual budget for area of responsibility and is accountable for managing performance against agreed financial targets and constraints
    • Ensuring (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed

    Your background

    • Bachelors' degree in Electrical or automation and minimum 10 years combined experience in leadership/management and engineering
    • Technical Experience working with Automation and Electrical products and solutions in Oil & Gas, Chemical and Power Generation domain
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications and related business and engineering software applications (CAD/AUTOCAD, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc.)
    • General understanding of network engineering and IT/IS is a plus (PC handling, Windows applications, PC configurations, Virus scanners, interfaces, backup)
    • Experience with multicultural involvement and engagement and demonstrated ability to develop, implement and execute effective KPI’s
    • Poses strong people management skills that create highly motivated individuals who work together as a team to execute a well-defined strategy and excellent English communication skills
