    As a Sourcing Engineer-Indirect Materials, MOTR China, for Motion Business Area in Shanghai, you will be providing a sustainable emerging country supply base and advanced supply chain management to enable sustainable profitable growth.

    Business Manager - Portfolio

    Your responsibilities

    • Making sourcing strategy, evaluate and develop the supply base. Introduce new suppliers as appropriate to meet the current and future needs of the business
    • Executing Purchasing initiatives and strategies for Indirect materials and services
    • Being responsible for MRO supplier sourcing, pricing benchmarking, negotiation, and supplier selection
    • Ensuring sustainable cost saving/reduction without compromising the quality and delivery
    • Purchasing daily for indirect materials and service to meet stakeholders’ demand.
    • Being responsible for evaluation and qualification of suppliers for integrated commodities
    • Ensuring Indirect sourcing process control, drafting, review, publishing etc.
    • Being responsible for close cooperation with supply planning to support capacity planning and scalability / flexibility planning via development of Logistics agreements
    • Identifying, tracking and implementing cost saving actions to meet the productivity targets for the category

    Your background

    • Minimum 3 years sourcing related working experience, indirect sourcing experience will be plus
    • Good knowledge in the machining category & industry would be preferred, having Microsoft office/SAP experience will be plus
    • Excellent knowledge in sourcing methods; supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, analytical skills and legal/contractual knowledge
    • Possessing strong analytical and negotiation skills
    • A University degree or above in Engineering or related field
    • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills in English
    • Ability to handle complexity and work under pressure
    • Ability to travel, sometimes at short notice
