You will be working as Sr. Domain Engineer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead. You will be primarily responsible to contributing significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product and/or solution development as well as associated IP by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions. Using unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks. Act as the first line contact in R&D/SW development/Product engineering for the specific product related issues and maintenance
Your responsibilities
- Working knowledge on Smart Electrical devices like Drives, Transformers, Switchgear etc, and their interfacing with DCS using different protocols/connects like 800xA Connect, OPCUA, Modbus, IEC61850 Condition monitoring
- Product testing, Integration testing/ System testing and experience in testcase writing and testing is preferred. Software/Application testing knowledge from industrial automation or related domain good to have
- Working experience in basics of Linux, Redhat OpenShift, python programing will be added advantage. Working with Product and Project Managers to understand scope, features and estimates Asset Model
- Developing, Testing and Automation effort for new Electrical Assets. Planning activities with local and remote teams along with the Project/Team Lead
- Collaborating with team members; providing inputs in product meetings to create high quality products within the defined schedules and budgets
- Performing testing on Asset Models and report issues in Azure DevOps as per defined standard. Proficient or have the capability of becoming proficient at installing and configuring Test
- Troubleshooting the software and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches. Aside from project responsibility, the successful candidate will also provide strategic sales, training, and customer/application support
Your background
- Any bachelor’s degree with minimum 5+ years of work experience Integration test planning, execution and test automation
- Working knowledge of any DCS/PLC/SCADA applications will be an added advantage
- Experience in API & non-functional testing, working in an Agile development environment
- Experience in TFS & Microsoft testing tools (MTM, Test controller, Test Agents)
- Experience of working with virtual environments (Vmware / Hyperview / Azure)
- Programing Skill : C#, PowerShell scripts will be an added advantage
- Should have experience in interfacing FTP, TCP/IP, OPC-UA/D and Should have excellent troubleshooting skills
