Sr Project Engineer Batch Automation

This is a Sr Project Engineer Batch Automation role, reporting to the Technical Authority in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible to technically lead all engineering activities in assignments classified as low engineering complexity. Ensure that activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Designing, configuring, integrating, and implementing of process control solutions for various industries
• Proven knowledge of Software and Hardware design, commissioning, and test experience with any of the DCS
• Hands-on experience in Application Engineering tool with in any of the DCS
• Hands-on experience in Graphic engineering/development in any of the DCS
• Knowledge of the field instrumentation (sensors, transducers, drives related to Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Level etc.…)
• Working knowledge on interfaces (Profibus, Modbus, OPC, IEC61850, etc.)
• Expert knowledge of network engineering and IT developments (PC handling, Windows applications, PC configurations, virus scanners, interfaces, backup)
• Should be able to Conduct SAT & FAT of the control systems
• Ability to develop equipment specifications for medium-sized projects involving HMI’s, DCS’s, manufacturing execution systems (MES), Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) etc.
• Ability to read and interpret PFD’s, P&ID’s, and instrument loop sheets
• Advising / guiding the senior engineer concerning design or scope changes which have been identified
• Expert knowledge on automation project execution with Paint Industry, Speciality Chemical industry or on Batch industry
• Designing recipes for paint industry
• Knowledge on MES (Manufacturing Execution System) recipes for paint or specialty chemical industry process, integrate with Batch and ERP systems will be an added advantage

Your background

• B. Tech/ B.E education is required
• 6 to 10 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of developing Application and HMI displays in 800xA Control System
• Knowledge of 800xA software and Hardware
• Good communication skills to interact with the LBU customers
• Knowledge of Batch standards, MES, and MOM
• Ability to interpret control narratives and develop software application based on IEC 61131 programming languages
• Knowledge in Operation system windows 7/8, windows 2008/2012 server and well versed in MS office applications (office 2016 / 365)
• Ability to prepare project documents, reports, test records etc.
• Process knowledge of chemical, paint and specialty chemical Industry
