In this challenging position, your main task is to maintain close and trusting customer relationships and to develop them strategically, continuously and sustainably in all business areas of the customers. Furthermore, you will act as the first point of contact for your accounts in all matters and ensure seamless support of the accounts with the involved teams and sales management. We rely on your knowledge in sales or account management, as well as your expertise in dealing with customers. Your responsibilities
- Creating a comprehensive understanding of the needs and requirements of the customers
- Inquiry analysis, ensuring proposal preparation, proposal tracking and sales-specific controlling
- Create and manage an account plan to develop potential with the customer and present ABB's overall portfolio
- Analyze customer requirements, search for solutions in close cooperation with the involved departments or teams and build up and support the account customer on different management levels
- Strategic support in proposal preparation, coordination and execution of technical problem solving
- Continuous development of existing tools and new tools to be implemented
- Ensure that the right products/systems and services are offered to customers in a timely manner
- Analysis of customer competition, resulting in development of strategies and tactics
- Lead negotiations (https://e.g. order negotiations, framework agreements) with the sales team at the customer's site
- Regular reporting on the account
Your background
- Successfully completed technical studies, preferably in the field of electrical or mechanical engineering
- Several years (at least 5 years) of professional experience in sales or account management
- Knowledge of electrical engineering and automation technology
- Experienced in dealing with customers, especially in establishing contacts at higher management levels
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office and Sales Force
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel in Germany, Europe; occasionally also global
