This position reports to

Your responsibilities
- Leadership: Manages operational supplier quality, including validating the supplier's quality systems and the quality of the supplier's processes
- Drives approval of supplier parts, materials and project subcontractor service activities, as applicable; this might include close coordination with other functions/experts and where applicable includes product surveillance at supplier manufacturing sites
- Leads the quick reaction of supply issues related to quality issues, deliveries, non conforming products or project services
- Works together with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims cases when necessary
- Leads improvement projects within the supply chain team, with focus on increasing efficiency and reducing barriers to execution
- Performs risk mitigation activities on request from the organization
- Supplier performance: Oversees supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolves performance issues. Monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements
- Supplier identification: Identifies new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team
- Qualifies new suppliers in cooperation with Procurement and Logistics Specialists, Quality and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment)
- Negotiations: Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions
- Contracts: Adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs
- Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval
- Bid analysis: Analyzes and evaluates bids in order to determine the optimal value
- Sales support: Supports bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information and by assisting with sourcing requests as required
- Ensures Competitive Bidding Policy is followed
- Assurance: Ensures the supplier qualification process is executed in full and ensures the relevant suppliers are and remain fully qualified and compliant
- Ensures suppliers remain in compliance with the ABB Supplier Code of Conduct, ethics and corporate governance and applicable regulatory requirements
- Leads the execution of supplier assessments, driving both corrective and preventive actions as applicable, based on supplier maturity and performance
- Ensures required supplier development processes are executed in full to drive continuous improvement of the supplier base
- Knowledge Skills: Supports local operations and service in handling supplier non-performance mitigation actions
- Customer Focus: Ensures the understanding of ABB customers needs and expectations at the supplier
Your background
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field and minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Experience in Marine Industry, Ports Industry, Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 5 or more years relevant experience preferred
- Business mind set, responsiveness, strong sense of ownership, self driven, willingness to explore
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Demonstrated experience in Supplier relationship management and development
- Cross functional relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Data analysis and presentation skills
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- SAP knowledge
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
