    Working in the procurement team in ELIS Packaging and E-Houses, Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS), you will be deciding on and implementing plans for local sourcing to achieve business targets and assist regional and global sourcing initiatives. With focus on the customers in the Industrial complex solution market segment, the supply chain specialist plays an essential role in the supply chain process, responsible for the planning and purchasing of direct and/or indirect material to support customer needs/ production schedule. This position will directly engage with select suppliers to ensure procurement activities are executed in an accurate and timely manner to support project requirements. You will be responsible to purchase materials and perform various supply management duties that typically involve substantial financial commitments, technical complexities, and high priority.

    Your responsibilities

    • Materials tracking and monitoring status from all suppliers. Material reports to management on a weekly basis
    • Materials and equipment expeditor
    • Provide input to the Project Scheduler to maintain Equipment Delivery Tracker and Program schedule
    • Prepare and provide proof of purchase documentation for awarded projects for all ABB partners and external vendors
    • Maintain and update Supply Chain Risk Assessment Surveys on a monthly and quarterly basis
    • Create and execute all Purchase Orders with both internal and external ABB partners as required by the project and in full compliance with ABB code of conduct
    • Actively engage in project hand off meetings with ABB project team to gain understanding of project procurement requirements, ensuring requirements are properly captured and communicated with suppliers
    • Execute any change orders with supplier plants to accurately capture changes in scope, price and delivery on purchase orders
    • Establish relationships with key stakeholders at supplier plants. Drive procurement processes with suppliers that best support project execution and customers most effectively
    • Conduct regular touchpoints with suppliers to drive updates and confirm material status. Proactively engage suppliers on regular basis to track materials and provide schedule updates
    • Work closely with suppliers to ensure all invoicing procedures are properly followed. Drive the proper actions with the project team and suppliers to resolve invoicing discrepancies and promote proper payments. Engage proper functions, which may include AP, Goods Receipt team, Controllers, Suppliers, Project team, etc, to resolve any discrepancies and keep invoicing queue clear
    • Execute/create reports from ABB systems and ERP to understand supplier data, including but not limited to orders, revenue, OTD (on time delivery​), and open backlog
    • Ensure data in ABB systems and ERP are kept up to date and reflect most accurate ship dates and commitments from suppliers
    • Remain up to date on all ABB procurement systems/tools. Play a proactive role in problem prevention/solving during the project life and perform as the procurement specialist/expert for your project team

    Your background

    • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or similar and minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain/procurement roles
    • Strong knowledge and working experience within ERP systems; SAP (Torque & AMSAP)
    • An understanding of commercial terms, standard procurement procedures and related Company policies
    • Self motivated, highly organized, and detailed oriented
    • Strong communication: communicate clearly across multiple disciplines (engineering, project management, finance, plants)
    • Strong analytical skills, able to organize data and run reporting to help drive decisions
    • Strong leadership qualities with proven relationship building capabilities
    • Proven soft skills with problem solving aptitude
    • Strong fluent written and spoken English language skills, Spanish language a plus. Strong negotiation skills
    • Knowledge of procurement tools and quality processes, including ARIBA, ReadSoft
    • Strong interpersonal skills are required to achieve cooperation and help drive proper process with supplier partners. Ability to work well within a team environment to support complex projects. Multitasking and being able to prioritize tasks is essential. Experience with ERP systems (SAP Torque, AMSAP) is strongly desired. Clear communicator, proactive problem solver who can engage across different functions and parties desired
