As Country Tax Manager of Hungary and part of the ABB tax team you will be involved in providing your expertise in the area of tax advisory and tax reporting in an international context. Chief Financial Officer

Your responsibilities

• Be a partner to the business, providing advisory on local and international tax laws of direct and indirect taxation.
• Monitor tax legislation and adapt business processes and ERP setting to changing tax environment
• Support tax compliance in all areas of direct and indirect tax
• Ensure accuracy of tax provisions for closing processes and estimates for forecasting and business decisions
• Identify tax risk and tax opportunities across organization and implement corrective actions to business and compliance processes
• Work closely with accounting, finance & IT teams to improve the efficiency & automation of tax processes
• Support dialog with tax authorities and other governmental bodies, actively work on tax audits.
• Provide support for various projects and initiatives, by supporting the implementation of relevant standards, processes, policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of corporate tax matters
• Assist Corporate Tax Team on other tax-related matters

Your background

• M.A. in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Min. 5 years of experience in tax consulting; audit/tax advisory firm and/or a tax function of a multinational group;
• Fluent in English (both written and oral)
• Tax Advisor Certificate; Tax/ Accounting degree or other qualifications are welcome.
• Solid understanding of direct and indirect taxes in an international context
• Expert in domestic tax law
• Project management experience
• Proficiency in working with MS OfficeBasic
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Customer focused mind set with interest in taking on new tasks/projects
