The role reports to the Production Supervisor and is located in Hackettstown, New Jersey.

    Your responsibilities

    • Production Support: The Primary focus area of this Team Leader position will be in Emold Electrical Testing. However, assignments, tasks, or regular duties in areas outside of Electrical Testing may also be assigned
    • This position directs the flow of product through Electrical Testing for; Emold, Switchgear, MVR, JHV, and the Warehouses. Must possess excellent verbal and email communication skills to interact with Planners, Engineers, Managers, Supervisors, and Flow Coordinators with regularity during the shift
    • Must have the ability to prioritize which product will be tested by which tester, and the flexibility to re-prioritize as demands change
    • Must have the ability to operate all equipment within their work area and have a general knowledge of technical skills and processes to support the production floor
    • Adhere to a set of behaviors exhibiting approachability, professionalism, patience and mutual respect
    • Ensure equipment is operational and in safe working order. All SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and JHA’s (Job Hazard Analysis) are present on equipment & adhered to
    • Confirm quality inspections and first piece inspections
    • Ensure parts, tools and materials are all available for associates at the start of shift
    • Assist in set-ups and changeovers when necessary
    • Issue requests for maintenance using EAM system. Follow up on downed equipment and communicate accordingly to Supervisor
    • Collect data to complete necessary production reports at the close of each shift
    • Conduct a complete hand off to the next shift team leads informing them on inventory, machine issues and any other pertinent information to the present shift
    • Team Support: Train and motivate new team members, cross train and motivate existing team members
    • Support team as a figure to answer and/or solve problems and/or issues pertaining to production
    • Know team members well enough to identify individual skill sets for strategic placement
    • Cover absenteeism on critical equipment/buildouts, if necessary, relieve associates for breaks
    • Initiate and suggest continuous improvement projects surrounding production area

    Your background

    • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of Electrical Testing experience
    • Excellent problem analysis/solving skills
    • Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures
    • Well organized, operates with a sense of urgency to support production
    • Solid communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
