    Technical Sales Engineer

    The Sales Engineer will be responsible for working in a fast paced, high-growth environment where resources are optimized around producing measurable results. Candidate must have the breadth of experience and interest to work as an individual contributor as well as within a team environment.     ELPC US Northeast Sales Director

    Your responsibilities

    • Be the primary technical consultant and relationship interface for assigned accounts/region, as well as developing new accounts
    • Promote various DC, low-voltage services to include engineering, installation, commissioning, and aftermarket services into assigned telecommunication/data center/5G accounts
    • Achieve sales budgets
    • Follow-up on qualified leads, perform marketing activities, fact finding, configurations, proposals, and frequent customer visits
    • Compile all relevant data to determine the exact nature of the customer's business needs and develop solutions, BOMs
    • Perform engineering site surveys and develop SOW for Detailed Quotes
    • Assist with strategic sales plans, relationship management, product forecasting, competitive analysis
    • Coordinate projects with ABB Service Managers, Project Managers, Installation, and Customer resources
    • Negotiate price and schedules to “close the deal”

    Your background

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent Technical Degree
    • Minimum 2 years technical sales or engineering experience supporting service providers and or cable operators
    • Experience in Telecom industry highly preferred
    • Position requires the ability to travel an average of 60% of the time during a typical work week
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the DC Power Industry desired
    • Advanced engineering or technical degree
    • High proficiency in using applicable software (i.e., Microsoft Outlook and Office, sales empowerment tools. AutoCad, Big Machines)
    • Experience in CRM / SFDC
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Effective customer presentation skills
    • Excellent organizational skills required to meet multi-tasking expectations
    • In-depth knowledge of DC product lines and markets (Datacom, telecom, etc.)
    • Ability to effectively manage time and budget or expense parameters
    • Willingness to work independently and be a self-starter
    • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
    • Candidate should be located within the New England Area (MA, NH, ME, RI, CT, VT, consideration for Eastern NY)
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
