ABB’s Power Conditioning Research and Manufacturing facility based in Napier is seeking a recent Electrical Engineering graduate to join us as Technical Sales Support Specialist to support our sales team and customers. In this technically rewarding role you’ll relish the opportunity to determine the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the proposal process. In your role you’ll support us in strategic planning, and you’ll get to use your business insights to help us make decisions about the future of the business. In return you’ll get training and development with a global leader and a clear career path into product management. Reporting to Product Line Manager and this position will be based in Napier. New Zealand

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for the project approval process as well as integrator qualification process
• Offering technical advice and support for customized projects and proposing technical solutions for complex enquiries
• Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs and cost efficiency
• Creating analytics on past and current projects for business evaluations and strategic decision making
• Preparing and checking technical documentations for such projects and supporting product manager for integrator onboarding of our products
• Supporting product management with technical customer enquiries and technical documentation. Supports PM with market / application understanding and research
• Working closely with Research and Development team on the technical feasibility and operation on the lead time and supply risk

Your background

• Electrical Engineering degree
• Understanding of power electronic systems, power quality and the application of power electronics to power systems
• Strong Communication Skills
• Basic understanding in project management and analytical skills, statistic, and data analyses experience of advantage
• Good office 365 skills, PowerBI and PowerApp skills is an added advantage
