    Technical Sales Support Specialist

    You will be working as Technical Sales Support Specialist and will be part of Process Automation business area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be reporting to Sales Support Manager and will be responsible in strengthening our global sales support team in their operations center in Bangalore with a technical sales support specialist for Energy Sector covering offshore, FPSO, offshore wind, subsea, onshore pipeline and terminals, chemicals, petrochemicals, refineries, power and water automation. You will be working as a individual contributor role with a high level of self-competence and the drive to promote innovation and improvement with Adaptive Execution methodology concepts

    Your responsibilities

    • Preparing technical greenfield solution offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit and Sales organization directives
    • Being the single interface towards customer / Local Divisions and ensure timely and proactive communication
    • Delivering high quality bid documentation meeting bid timelines and Bid Process compliance
    • Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs and proposing technical solutions for complex enquiries
    • Preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues
    • Offering technical advice and provides comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers with regard to ABB products/systems/ applications and providing technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiation

    Your background

    • BE/ B Tech/ Diploma in Electronics/Electrical from a reputed university
    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in bidding / Tendering for Automation (DCS /PLC/Safety PLC/Power Management Systems) solutions including cybersecurity for energy industries
    • Experience in handling MAC / Turnkey bids and project execution is an added advantage
    • Knowledge about market requirements and standards within the industry and ABB automation products like 800xA / Symphony Plus will have advantage
    • Fluent English, French/ Spanish/ German language knowledge will have added advantage
