    Technical Support Engineer

    You will be working as Technical Support Engineer and will be part of Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area for Service & Digital Platform Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Service Intelligence Unit Manager and will be responsible for extensive interaction with global support sites and customers. Providing feedback to stakeholders, regarding product modifications needed based on product performance, as seen through the eyes of this support function. Working closely with local business units to deliver the services to enhance the ABB digital services across the globe.

    Your responsibilities

    • Acting as single point of contact for multiple countries to implement relevant action plans to deliver the services under CS agreement
    • Coordinating with different teams daily to make sure the on-time delivery of the services and issues resolutions. Supporting LBU’s as L3 support for the connected services
    • Ensuring efficient and regular communications with multiple stakeholders across different projects and playing an interactive key-role among the R&D and local field service teams for developing and designing future products with better service capabilities align with business needs
    • Working with field service, sales team-tech support, and regional managers to resolve escalated problems to improve customer satisfaction
    • Preparing material and training content for the local service team to enable them to work with Connected services
    • Using experience and a deep understanding of problem domain to identify and resolve a wide range of issues within connected servicerobot related issues

    Your background

    • Bachelors' degree in mechanical, electrical & electronics, instrumentation, mechatronics, Automation) or relevant equivalent
    • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in Robotics service and support and experience in troubleshooting of robots either as field engineer or maintenance in factory environment
    • Good understanding and knowledge of Industrial Robot system and how it works, electrical/electronic systems and their functionality
    • Excellent communication skills along with the ability to think independently, take complete ownership of assigned tasks
    • Knowledge of Development languages & tools: SQL, Python, power Bi etc and familiarity with automated intelligence building and 'learning' systems
    • Able to lead on small and mid-size Development / IT projects to manage and enhancement new and existing tools for support
