    Technical Support Specialist : E-mobility m/f/d

    In this position, your main role, both internally and with our customers, will be to be the technical manager, technical expert and troubleshooter for our electric vehicle charging solutions. You will be responsible for improving customer satisfaction by providing the right level of technical support and responsiveness. You will also be responsible for the remote commissioning of our charging stations, providing accurate support to our on-site partners, performing charging station activation activities and assisting our partners with technical issues. You will work as a Service Engineer and be part of the Electrification for Electromobility France business area. In this role, you will report to the Service Manager / Service Engineer and be responsible for performing support and commissioning tasks based on ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines, providing quality services to customers and identifying new service business opportunities for ABB.

    Your responsibilities

    • Assist field teams and service partners on charger installation and commissioning.
    • Perform service tasks such as installation, testing and commissioning (field/remote as needed) of equipment and routine maintenance activities and identify technical issues and analyze solutions based on them.
    • Contribute to customer satisfaction by performing tasks according to customer expectations and by identifying new sales opportunities: you are a force of proposal to the end customer in order to recommend additional services during your interventions (spare parts, periodic maintenance contract, replacement of obsolete equipment, product training ...)
    • Maintain good relations with customers.
    • Prepare and ensure that all materials, parts and equipment are available as required for each intervention
    • Provide advice on complex electrical or mechanical issues based on data obtained from cloud connected service systems.
    • Ensure troubleshooting activities are performed effectively and provide solutions to prevent future equipment failure.
    • Assist management by providing improvement actions on operational aspects and customer service.

    Your background

    • Minimum of 2 years of higher education with a specialization in power electronics/electrical engineering or equivalent.
    • At least 3 years experience as a Low Voltage technician, preferably in troubleshooting or electrical design.
    • Experience in the field of high power electric vehicle chargers with knowledge of the industrial environment would be a strong plus.
    • Good level of English and French required, both written and spoken.
    • No obstacles to travel.
    • Reactivity, autonomy, rigor, customer orientation.
    • Project orientation, knowledge of past cost management on interventions.
    • Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Security rules: HSE is everyone's business.
