    Technical Trainer

    The Technical Trainer will develops training materials and conducts technical classes for sales, service, application, systems, maintenance personnel and end users/ customers in line with the overall business objectives within Motion business Area in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

    This position reports to

    Training and Development Manager

    Your responsibilities

    • Development/ creation of technical training materials for use in classroom and web based training
    • Creation of training programs and class plans
    • Lead and support training classes on technical subject matter
    • Lead and coach students (internal and external customers) in educational process
    • Prepare written training support materials. Development of multi-media and eLearning training materials
    • Development of interactive hands-on labs to reinforce learning goals
    • Continuously pursue knowledge and expertise of training responsible products (in depth knowledge of products you are responsible for training on)

    Your background

    • Bachelor degree and 2 years of work experience OR Associate degree and 4 years of work experience or High School Diploma and 6 years of work experience required
    • Travel up to 50% required
    • AC drives, PLC, HMI knowledge or experience installing them highly preferred
    • One or more years of teaching or presentation experience of a technical product highly preferred
    • Demonstrated expertise utilizing computer based software including MS Office tools, specifically advanced use of PowerPoint required
    • Demonstrated successful verbal and written communication ability along with effective presentation skills. Previous work with a Learning Management System (LMS) and is a plus
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
