    Position summary

This role will collaborate with current technical training operations stakeholders throughout the business to ensure a systematic approach to identifying and fulfilling training needs. Ensure the effective execution of internal and external technical training related to equipment, products and / or services.

    Your responsibilities

    • Design and deliver all systems learning and development solutions.
    • Communicate with internal employees and managers to discuss with them the technical issues they all are facing.
    • Identify the level of knowledge and experience that field service personnel have and create appropriate programs designed to develop the necessary skills to target and reduce gaps.
    • Lead training through in-person classes or online instruction.
    • Develop training manuals that target tangible results.
    • Assess employees’ skills, performance, and productivity to identify areas of improvement.
    • Ensure that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
    • Formulate technical training needs to ensure that training solutions are proactive and support the strategic direction.
    • Teach training methods and skills to instructors and supervisors.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and instructors.
    • Build network internally and externally for exchange of information, best practices and lessons learned.
    • Provide support and technical advice to colleagues in specific areas of expertise.
    • Support technical reviews and participates in core technical meetings.

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a major in Electrical, Electro Mechanical or Computer engineering from an accredited institution.
    • 12+ years of experience in field services, power delivery, technical training, or related experience.
    • Ability to read, correctly interpret, and apply electrical one-lines, schematics, and instruction manuals.
    • Knowledge of electrical distribution, power electronics, or control system design.
    • Familiarity with NFPA 70E.
    • Support HSE trainings: Electrical training programs, LOTO programs and implementation, fall protection, and other topics.
    • Ability to train, mentor and evaluate personnel, for the purpose of providing internal and external training.
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
