Tender/Quotation Specialist

In this position, you will be the expert in delivering competitive bids, estimates and quotes to customers for projects in EL Market US, EL (Electrification) Critical Power Service Team. This position can be conducted from a remote location. You will be responsible to work with Outside Sales Team to create quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitive and high margin projects for the Company related to Life Cycle Extensions of Installed Base of products. Will work with Application Engineer, and commercial operations team to research installed base products, understand what is needed to modernize equipment and prepare firm price and T&M proposals for outside sales team. Will support customer discussions about the upgrade as needed. Primarily focused on the ABB Power Protection – Critical Power services for UPS, STS and PDU products.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for collecting and collating all technical and cost estimates needed to prepare proposals
• Identify risk in bids, quotations and any related contract agreements
• Participate in Risk Reviews as needed
• Provide support of Outside Sales Team during meetings with customers as needed
• Support the processing of purchase orders and provide acknowledgments to customers
• Support creating new customer accounts as needed
• Work with Outside Sales team on key customers for support of installed base
• Support sales of upgrades, service contracts and T&M to existing customer base
• Follow up on Lead Pass leads generated from Field Service and Technical Support Teams
• Post documentation in SFDC for all pre and post proposal activity
• Work with Outside Sales team to insure timely order closing on outstanding proposals

Your background

• Bachelors Degree, preferably in a technical field to be completed by June 2023
• 3 to 5 years relevant experience preferred
• Technical competency related to legacy ABB Inc. installed base equipment
• Knowledge of industry
• Enterprise Product Knowledge
• SFDC or similar experience
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
