Tender/ Quotation Specialist

You will be working as Tender/ Quotation Specialist at global grade 14 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to the Sales Support Manager. Responsible to create and complete bids/ estimations/ quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/ budget for process automation, process safety, power management system, substation automation, SCADA in order to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the company.

Your responsibilities

• Formulating a competitive bids/ estimations/ quotation for process automation, power management systems, substation automation in domains like oil & gas/ refineries / petrochemicals /specialty chemicals/ pharma/ power & water
• Ensuring tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs
• Managing the preparation of all technical, financial and if necessary, project management aspects of the bid/ estimation /quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions
• Collecting and archiving documentations, regarding the offer/ order and records assumptions and decisions taken during the development process
• Identifying potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimations, and in any related contract agreements across customers/ channels
• Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs. Ensuring a positive customer experience through-out the sales process
• Identifying potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and technically evaluates supplier offers to check match with specifications

Your background

• BE/ B Tech/ Diploma in Instrumentation/ Electrical/ Electronics & Communication.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in preparing bids/ estimations in process automation, process safety, power management system, sub-station automation, distribution automation, SCADA, RTU’s, PLC’s
• Experience in understanding customer specifications/ requirements. Knowledge on automation market, products and solutions
• Knowledge of different modes of Telecommunication system & Cyber security solutions
• Knowledge of Industrial SCADA solutions with IT & NW HW sizing, understanding of cyber security and experience on SCADA is an added advantage
