    Test Engineer

    In this position, you will provide assistance in testing and verification activities on a range of assignments in MOTION Business Area, TRACTION division located in Genoa. In this role you will support completion of testing activities efficiently and cost-effectively, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements as well as test product and system and validate material to ensure that these follow prescribed technical specifications.

    Your responsibilities

    • Technical contribution: Support Test Engineers with product and system testing. Prepare standard test records and complete test documentation.
    • Planning and control: Follow work plans and cost estimates for work in one’s area of responsibility. Ensure quality timely implementation within targeted cost.
    • Risk and opportunity management: Support risk assessments to assure safe systems of work and take appropriate actions.
    • Customer: Assist with customer or official contacts and communication pertaining to test assignments or meetings.
    • Processes and tools: Use standard processes and tools. Maintain/calibrate the tools.

    Your background

    • Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronic field or technical diploma in similar field.
    • 2-3 years of experience working as Test Engineer.
    • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines (legislation related to electrical risk).
    • Knowledge of use of measurement instruments (such as oscilloscopes, network analyzer, etc.).
    • Ability to read wiring diagrams.
    • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
    • Fluent in English.
