Assisting the business function and/or Business Excellence Centers, as a Trade & Transportation Specialist, you will ensure that goods are shipped while meeting quality, legal and costs parameters. In this role you will maintain and improve transport/logistics processes to optimize product and material deliveries.

Your responsibilities

• Facilitating material movement and scheduling utilizing various transportation software systems, and handling customs and trade applications
• Preparing and updating the monthly logistics schedule to ensure deliveries to production locations, and coordinating product delivery schedules with customers
• Coordinating daily activities to track finished goods and raw materials, and rerouting freight to meet demand and minimize costs
• Communicating status to Logistics and Sales organizations as appropriate
• Working with transport service providers and brokers to effectively execute processes, assisting in obtaining permits, and preparing proper documentation
• Aiding the development and implementation of improved processes and systems, and maintaining the master data

Your background

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Sound knowledge of international import and export procedure (maritime and ground transportation preferred), customs and product classification
• Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Salesforce (an asset)
• A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
• Being fluent in both French and English (daily interactions with stakeholders located outside of Quebec)
• A Bachelor or a Certificate in Logistics (an asset)
