Transport Planning Specialist

Working with multiple business stakeholders, in Center of Expertise – Logistics as Transport Planning Specialist, you will ensure that goods are shipped while meeting quality, legal and costs parameters. Reporting to Transport Planning and Customs Manger, you will maintain and improve transport and customs processes to optimize product and material deliveries. The position requires making decisions which impact cost and service on a constant basis with minimal review and requires an experience of transport and customs operations.

Your responsibilities

• Work closely with transport service providers and brokers to assure efficient and effective execution of processes, including transport and customs documentation.
• Maintain communication with transport service providers including forecasts, shipment’s bookings, tracking milestones and deviations, etc.
• Utilize Transport Management Systems and Customs applications to facilitate material movement and custom clearances on time.
• Import/Export customs procedure background with focus on preparing customs declarations for brokers.
• Prepare and updates logistics schedule to ensure deliveries to production locations and coordinates product delivery schedule with customers
• Manage price and service quotations on request
• Drive continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
• Cost controlling and Supporting Accounts Payable for freight payment reconciliation.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or logistics management from an accredited university/college, freight forwarding degree
• Related at least 2 years of experience in Trade and Logistics
• Capable of managing independently multiple time sensitive tasks in a dynamic environment
• Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with customers as well as business stakeholders.
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Customer focus approach
• Fluent Polish and English. French or Spanish is a great advantage.
• Knowledge of transportation rules and regulations and experience in working with advanced TMS platforms.
