The work:
The key aspects of this role are to lead high quality consulting and outreach engagements to build a strong portfolio with our client. This role will play a key part in developing and implementing a strategy for engaging, communicating with, and educating a growing portfolio of strategic stakeholders across the Department on a wide variety of analytics and research methods. Key activities will include:
Plan and execute new outreach and communication efforts to grow membership on an analytics and information sharing platform.
Develop a strategic engagement plan to build and grow the partner portfolio.
Build strong relationships with and serve as primary point of contact for Department partners. Communicate regularly with government officials to identify, triage, and assess interest in platform membership. Follow up on referrals and leads for stakeholder engagement.
Lead operational and strategic discussions with partners through formal coordination meetings, focus groups, and/or informal check-ins.
Perform assessment of partner needs, gaps, and objectives to make strategic recommendations and develop innovative solutions. Collaborate cross-team to implement recommendations and solutions.
Identify, facilitate, and nurture collaboration and information-sharing between Departmental stakeholders and relevant interagency and international stakeholders.
Coordinate and communicate regularly with other unit leads to plan and execute a wide variety of training and engagement events.
Deliver presentations, briefings, and trainings to a variety of senior leadership and governmental officials.
Support communications content creation for briefing materials, community-wide newsletters, emails, presentations, and other promotional materials.
Develop new operational procedures and processes to onboard and manage support for a community of partners.
Design and implement methods for tracking operational metrics, including communication activities, event and engagement activities, outreach efforts, user management, etc.
Here's what you need:
Must have Department of State experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in effective verbal and written communications with senior stakeholders
Minimum 2 years of experience in strategy consulting and/or developing strategic partnership networks
Minimum 2 years of experience in training needs analysis (TNA), communications development and delivery, and/or change management
Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Communications, Marketing and/or a Political Science/Public Affairs/Social Science degree and/or regional area study (i.e. Latin America or Eastern Europe)
Bonus Points if you have:
Demonstrated experience forming alliances and/or building partnership networks
Strong interpersonal, diplomatic, and facilitation skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and interact effectively with government officials, leadership, and external counterparts
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Ability to develop solutions in a complex and ambiguous environment
Master’s in International Relations, Communications, Marketing and/or a Political Science/Public Affairs/Social Science degree and/or regional area study (i.e. Latin America or Eastern Europe)
Experience in data science, social science research, data analytics, political communications, and/or international affairs
Experience in designing and/or delivering training
Demonstrated interest in user experience design, and/or technology advocacy
Proficiency in additional languages
As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
